A printer?

Let me elaborate. The app will be given a set of TIF files on disk (e.g. AAA.tif, AAB.tif & AAC.tif). The app will need to read and return a text value that appears near a given location in each of the images. The app will then be given a different set of TIF images to perform the same function.

$185 HP printers do that real good on PCs.

Has anyone done any OCR on TIF images?

I'll have a set of TIF images and I'll need to read a text value near
a given location for each file. This will be part of an app and not a
one-time thing.
