I still like SoapUI but I will try and find some time to play with this -
like anything new I should not judge too early.

Yep.. you can actually get it in many formats.. HTTP, cURL format,
,Java,
JS, Node, Perl, etc... etc.

Click "Code" and the far right (orange letters on the PC app on the far
right on the row with the params, authorization, headers, etc buttons))
and
you'll get a box with many options to view the source of the request.

I actually found this out myself the other day because I needed to send
a
version of the request to someone as a cURL request.

it quite simple to translate what I need into HTTPAPI.

Maybe I have just not played with Postman enough but it seems

me.

I pretty much use postman exclusively now over other tools for the
PC.
Mainly for the reason you saw.. you can export your call and send it
to
other people to try and see all the parameters, settings, etc.

I was provided a postman_collection.json and after installing
Postman

google I imported this file and struggled to determine how to use

app.

I opened SoapUI and to my delight there was an option to install a
Postman
Collection !! Yay.

While the collection installation completed normally I later
discovered a
few of the parameters did not get set up correctly.

I was able to run the REST API calls and once I discovered the
missing
parameter options I was able to run all the procedures with the
settings
provided in the Postman Collection.

Now to code this in HTTPAPI and hopefully all will just work as it
does in
SoapUI.

So the lesson is try SoapUI first as it is really an excellent
tool.

Postman. Have you ever heard of Postman ?

Anyone have any experience or an example of this ?
