Take a look at the QUOTE command - on the client it is used to run FTP subcommands on the server.

You can do this - QUOTE HELP TIME - and see what parameters there are - IIRC, there are a couple timeouts you can set.

We started having an error with FTP transfers between our IBM i servers.

The problem occurs with both the FTP client and with a tool we wrote using
FTPAPIR4.

After going through IBM support they are suggesting that the client side is
timing out during the transfer and suggest using the DEBUG T1 x and DEBUG
T2 x commands where x is the number of seconds for the controller and data
timeouts.

We already use the TIME command to tell the server to use a longer
timeout. Is there any way to issue those client commands using FTPAPIR4?
