Having said that, have you considered a CL program that uses RUNSQL
instead?

Alternatively, take a look at REXX....it has some nice functionality
available for running SQL and CL commands.


I was trying to use Run SQL Scripts to make a one-off production
fix to 289 out of 616 companies. So, the only SQL I was using was in
order to create a compound statement including an array of the companies
to be fixed and then looping on this array to execute the production CL
commands required to perform the fix. But, these CL commands need to
execute in the same environment because one sets up for the other one.
Yes, I could use REXX but at this point I haven't had to create anything
on the production box -- and I was trying to avoid that.
