We use column text instead of headings and I just grab them from SYSCOLUMNS and export as the first record. I use the SQL ListAgg() function to get a delimited string.

Then *add the data.

Are you planning on three rows of heading or concatenating (potentially) three 20 char fields into one?

Subject: export data with column headings

Anyone know of a facility that will export db2 data (tab delimited) with
column headings (from db2 specs) as the first record in the exported file?

Thx,

Jerry
