I should point out that this is not for personal user per-se. I am trying to build a "shopping list" for clients who ask for advice on the subject.

I've been using the free Eclipse plug-in for DBeaver and quite like that. I was hoping to give the latest version of Data Studio a trial run on the Mac for a comparison - but I just found out that the IBM recommendation is to run it in Windows on a Docker instance. Yea - right. If was willing to do that I'd be running it in Parallels today. Very disappointing as there had been several strong hints that a Mac version was coming real-soon-now.

Have a look at Enterprise Architect from Sparx Systems. It's significantly more than a DB tool, but the DB tools are excellent. ERDs and it understands DB2 well. It does cost some money but I've used it for years for UML modeling as well.
