When that happened to us we told all business partners that FAX was dead. They were going to be limited to EDI, email, snail mail and a few other processes but fax was dead.
Seems like, more times than not, we had to tweak the form to get them to fax right anyway. It was rarely a straight change of a printed form to fax. The developers welcomed not having that extra work.

For Domino to Fax IBM dropped their solution so we replaced that with an email to fax converter. This may be an option for IBM i faxing also. You end up emailing the phone number at a special domain. Handles many common attachments.

Subject: FAX400 lines

Anyone know of any external Fax Server solution which is code compatible with FAX/400? I have a customer on an older P7 with 16 internal fax modem ports using the quad port adapters. Well these adapters are not supported on P8 or P9 and the only internal async card only has 1 port, so they would either need 16 adapters or shelves of external modems. Customer does not want to make any application changes to integrate a new solution.

Thanks

Steve
