If you didn’t end your performance collection, you would have performance data about your backup :)
Exclude the *MGTC objects, but keep the performance collection active.
When doing saves when not in restricted state, Collection Services gathers Save/Restore metrics in the QAPMJOBSR file, tape metrics (if saving to tape) in the QAPMTAPE file, along with all the other performance data CS collects.

FYI, I’ve submitted an RFE to have Collection Services run in restricted state:

We already omit those libraries.
Our backup CL starts with an IFS backup and runs this command before the IFS save:
/* end performance collection per IBM tech support 15 Jul 10 */
ENDPFRCOL FRCCOLEND(*YES)
MONMSG MSGID(CPF0000)
Unfortunately, there's no indication why. Was it ended for the IFS save or the subsequent SAVLIB? 2010 would have been v5r4 on iSeries. Many, many things have probably changed since then.

Do that, but remember to exclude library QPFRDATA/QMPGDATA (depends where you are collecting it) or, use the GUI in Navigator to omit the *MGTCOL objects
We build a CL that will stop the collection, back it up, then roll it for the next day.
Also best to keep at least 14 days of collection object. They are really small so storage is not greatly affected
