The key here is "workstation entries".
DSPSBSD
QCTL has an entry for workstation type *ALL of *ENTRY.
QBASE and QINTER use *ALL with *SIGNON.
*ENTRY requires you to transfer into that subsystem with TFRJOB or some such thing.

Subject: Another odd question (this time from a customer): moving a terminal to a different subsystem
Is there an easy way to move a terminal (actually an emulation session, rather than a physical terminal) from one subsystem to another?
The reason being that we have a customer who wants to test a change in the sign-on screen.
It's been years since the last time I played around with a sign-on screen. And I'm surprised that the customer would be doing so without knowing how to test it on one terminal.
