Bill,

Mixed case passwords is our normal issue for mapped drive failures.
Make passwords all upper or lower case, most mapped drive issues should disappear.

Subject: Problems mapping the QDLS folder to Windows

Hello all,

I'm having an issue trying to access our QDLS folder from Windows Explorer. We have some users that can access it, but when I try to access it using the "\\system name\QDLS<file://system%20name/QDLS>" name it doesn't work, telling me "Windows cannot access" the path. I've read a bunch of stuff about it, where people say the passwords have to be in sync between Windows and the iSeries (which they are), that they either have to be all caps or all lowercase. Directory entries using WRKDIRE exist, so it's not that. Any thoughts out there on something I might be missing? Thanks everyone!

Bill
