Is it possible to explicitly set the CLIENT_APPLNAME special register when using the .NET Data Provider?

We're using the .NET Data Provider (iACS & iAccess for Windows). By default, the CLIENT_APPLNAME contains the .NET assembly name. The assembly name our .NET team insists on is a problem for me, so I'm looking for a way for them to set CLIENT_APPLNAME.

Any ideas?

TIA
