Yes. I have a procedure after the clear txt value is parsed from the buffer (whether zone or packed) where it is passed to the negative procedure to translate negative.

What about negative numbers? Your procedure would return say '12345D' for -12345.

Assuming you're going to use that string as a zoned value, I'm guessing you should return '1234N' for input of x'12345D'.
