ACS is working fine.
Does the older IBM Client Access for Windows use the same license as ACS or a different license?

Paul,

Did you upgrade IBM_i to a newer version recently? Say, in the last 70 days?

Both iACS and the older IBM Client Access for Windows check for a valid license before starting a 5250 session. Perhaps you somehow missed or did not properly enter the new license keys for 5770-XW1 (Client Access Family)? (they change with each Release.)

Use WRKLICINF to find out ...

Meanwhile, you and your users can use one of the many free TN5250 emulators, or your company can buy a "site license" for Mochasoft for something like US $250 for unlimited seats ... ;-) And, in the meantime, you can download and install and use the free trial version of Mochasoft TN5250 ... from http://www.mochasoft.dk ...

Hope that helps,

Most have been migrated to ACS, a few stragglers remain.

Multiple PCs
Both Wn7 and Win10
Multiple LPARs

No updates applied to LPARS or PCs, to the best of our knowledge.

Firewall?
Security-Group Policy?

Any thoughts from the group?

Thank You
