Upgrading 7042 HMC to V9 R1 M940, and 9009-41A firmware to VL940_027

I have the soon to die 7042 HMC's. I am thinking of upgrading them to V9R1M940 of HMC then putting on firmware VL940_027.

Any reason not to?
