All blank at V7R3.
Should I open case on this?

select output_queue_name, writer_type, remote_system_name from qsys2.output_queue_info order by writer_type, remote_system_name ; Works for me at 7.4 Now, there are several with a blank writer_type. This indicates that the writer is not started. However even a few with the blank writer type contain a remote_system_name. I found one with an IP address; I deleted it.
We have many output queues which never have a writer on it. For example our main default output queue, BPCSOUTQ, never has a writer associated with it. If the user really wants to kill a tree they have to move it to another output queue.

Both REMOTE_PRINTER_QUEUE and REMOTE_SYSTEM_NAME are returning blank for all printers.
RMTLOCNAME is not included in QSYS2.OUTPUT_QUEUE_INFO
Not giving me what I need.
Is there another option?

Some remote location names/ips are changing.
