Both connections should not be affected by the rather slow SAS cards.

The VTL will be in the same rack as our 8286. We would like to be usable by
more than one LPAR at a time.

We currently only have two 57B3 SAS cards. We DLPAR them with only one LPAR
using our physical tape library at a time. That's proved to be inconvenient
at times. I've heard that with i hosting i the host LPAR could virtualize
the library, but with our TS3100 and SAS cards it would only be usable in
serial mode.
