Why would one follow an email list server by any means other than
directly? In particular, why would one follow it via (what I am
guessing to be) a usenet server?
For me, accessing the mailinst lists using Thunderbird is perfect. Here are my reasons:
Email cons for me:
- Getting individual emails is too intrusive
- It's awkward to reply from the digests
Thunderbird pros for me:
- I can choose when to catch up on the lists
- The threading in Thunderbird is great and it's easy to ignore subjects I'm not interested in
- Replying is easy
