My new Windows box with 6 spinny drives, an SSD and two 24" monitors can go up to 400W when I crank up the graphics card. I had to get a new UPS for my office because of it. :)
Of course. :-) But how often does this happen?
I got an INTeL NUC for ESXi, SSD, 16GB of RAM, that is drawing around 10W. That's more as I like it. ;-)
I've never measured my MacMini but from how the case is staying cool as long as I don't crank up the integrated graphics, I guess, it's also around 10..20W. The SyncMaster 244T I'm using is a lot more power-hungry, especially when needing full brightness: The lot of very warm air coming out through the grid at it's top. I guess it's around 50..70W in full. Maybe I should measure it someday.
