10gb Ethernet.
These are for connecting the VTL to the storage device, both local and remote off site.
Current FC switch for I will remain in place.

Is that 10GB for real? I'm thinking that would be 10GB Ethernet. FC, or fiber channel, is normally rated at 8 or 16GB. FC is what you normally use to emulate IBM tape libraries.
Ps: our VTL use 10Gbe for talking to our AIX lpar for use with IBM Spectrum Protect and it uses 8GB FC for all of our IBM i lpars.

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.
Our new VTLs have arrived.
It requires some new switches with 10gb ports.
We ordered C9500-16X-A.
Due to Cisco parts and supply issues, 3 months out, minimum.
Any thoughts on good alternatives from the group.
Thank You
