I actually bought a Brother MFC-L5900DW. It arrived today, replacing a
Brother MFC-8890DW.

The MFC-8890DW was ~10 years old and repair cost was almost the price of a
new printer. I did nothing to the existing device description and it works
fine as is.

Jeff,

With most of the PCL6 support on MFC models, the PJL=Y and SNMP=? (meaning
IBM did not test it?)
But I've had more success with mfrtypmdl *HP5SI over *RICOH3200 and snmp
over pjl
Let us know if it works?

Anyone have one of these attached to an IBM i as a LAN printer?

This model is not listed at

https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/644533

but is PCL6 so I ass-u-me it would work.

Thanks.
