Jack, The only fiddling with the front panel you need to do is:
Funct 02 to set it to anything M (A M, B M, whatever, as long as it's
manual)
Funct 30 and then 3000 to get the HMC1 port's IP
Finally, you plug into that port, log into the ASMI (
https://IPyouReadOn3000),
user admin default password admin and reset to factory default everything.
