Evan, I do have a question about one of the steps you recommend.
I decided on the second option you suggested (using STRASPBAL to move
data off some drives to another) and it looks OK so far.
As I said, I had four 'drives' and used STRASPBAL to move everything to
the same drive as the load source is on. When I do a WRKDSKSTS it still
looks like this...

Everything SHOULD be on Unit 2 and I confirmed from the QHST that the
ASP balancing is done, so I have to assume everything is actually moved.
Now my question...
You refer to "a combination of STRASPBAL and deallocating the the unused
disks". What do you mean by deallocating? I see no commands to
deallocate, just remove disks (in STRSST).
Is there a step I should do before removing the now unused disks using
STRSST? Maybe an IPL first? The three drives (Units 1, 3, and 4) are
still flagged as *ENDALC.
