There's a program you can call the clean up the associated space of embedded SQL programs and service programs called QSQCMPGM, this might help. We occasionally need to run it after moving SQL objects from one system to another to fix mysterious SQL internal errors that spontaneously occur. It seems to be an issue with new access plans being created but the old ones not being cleaned up (or something like that). Maybe it will help.

Content. Programs have a 16 Meg size limit for the Program Associated Space (PAS). This space is used to store SQL information and access plans of the SQL statements in the program.

Subject: SQL error after applying PTF's
Over the weekend, we applied PTF's to our system and now one of our SQL statements is failing. It had been over 2 years since we had applied PTF's. The errors I see in the job log are:
QDT Array List maximum exceeded!.
Internal failure occurred in query processor.
SQL system error.
Environment prevented creation of one or more SQL service dump spooled
files. Reason code 1.
The SQL statement covers about 300 lines in the RPG program. Anyone else see anything like this? I have opened a case with IBM.
