Ok, on another lpar I can get to IBM Navigator for i (the webby thing). IBM i Management, Network, Servers, TCP/IP Servers, IBM Tivoli Directory Server for IBM i. Right click on that and select Properties. Then on the More tab the Server Administration button actually works.
However it is popping up a new log in screen. And it must use non IBM i credentials.

GLPWCO010E Authentication error: Either the user name or password (or both) is incorrect, or the password has expired.
Doing a little hacking I am seeing
/QIBM/UserData/OS400/DirSrv/IDSWebApp
There's a file called console_passwd
Two unrelated lpars have that file with the same data.
First line is a random string of letters and numbers.
Second line is another random string of letters and numbers, but shorter.
They are identical from lpar to lpar. So I assume there's some sort of default ldap administrator user id and password buried in this file, but encrypted.
Anyone know what it is?
Or is there some way to change where it looks for ldap adminstrators and to use IBM i id's instead?
