About all I know about dual power supplies is that our E4A has two power supplies, either one of which, by itself, is capable of carrying the full load of the box. One is plugged into the UPS in case of utility failure; the other is plugged into the wall, in case the UPS drops out during its self-test cycle (it has happened).
