The issue is the OP has a hangup with variable character columns, like user, etc. Not something you really need Interpret for.

Interpret would be fine for busting apart the journal entry data. Along with the undocumented display_journal_entry_info, which basically is an SQL way of bumping the journal entry data against a file external data structure.

call qsys2.display_journal_entry_info(2, --not sure what 2 means
'journal_library',
'journal name',
Sequence_number, -- SEQUENCE_NUMBER
'receiver library', -- RECEIVER_LIBRARY
'receiver name', -- RECEIVER_NAME
