I need help using Navigator for i. (FWIW, V7R2.) I am trying to see
permissions on an SQL external stored procedure, but am getting "Unable to
display permissions for this object because the associated program KMSCALER
cannot be found in the current library list." The procedure has the same
name, and was created in the same library as the associated program. From
where does Nav for i get the "current library list"? The JOBD of my user
profile has the library in the library list, but Nav for i apparently isn't
using that. (Also, Google was not my friend.)
When I right-click on the procedure in Nav, and click Definition, "Program
schema" shows "Use entry from below", and what appears below that is
"Determined by system". Helpful, not. When I select my library from the
drop-down and click OK, then I can see permissions, but all it shows me are
the authorities for the program object, not the stored procedure.
So, how does one find the authorities for a stored procedure? Does it take
on the authorities of the external program object?
