Time to make a bit more use of the 9009-41A I have, so I'd like to add a
Linux partition. It's been a LONG while since I have done any
partitioning and the last I did was using VIOS on the bladecenter to do
the work (which was remarkably easy). Poking around the web, I see a
lot of outdated info. Anyone have a reference handy that would apply to
a Power 9? Right now it only has an IBM i partition running. There is
plenty of disk. I am going to add some memory. I have a vHMC that
manages the system.
I know there are a few ways to skin the cat here. Just looking for an
up to date reference to get me through the basics. Closest I can find
is here:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/POWER9/p9hdx/p9_create_virt_env.htm?pos=4
But if someone has a great recipe for creating Linux partitions, that
would be helpful as well.
