I'm flattered and impressed that you remember me going on about Python
even in the early days before IBM offered any version for the
midrange. I thought you didn't have any particular interest in Python,
so I figured it would have just gone in one "ear" (eye?) and out the
other.

But I should also mention that there was evidently a big Python fan in
the midrange community even before I showed up. I forgot his name, but
I think Jon Paris may have mentioned him. I'm sure this person's name
is in the archives somewhere (not necessarily as a poster, but as
someone mentioned by Jon or whoever, as part of a conversation that I
was a participant in), but I am not having any success finding it.
