Lately, I've been doing a lot of batch jobs that produce very large spool files, via C STDOUT (i.e., an RPG program calling the puts() function from the C runtime).
And I'm having to wait for the job to hit the maximum record count and go into a message-wait before raising the limit.
There ought to be a way to raise the limit *before* that happens. But what?
