Thank you Evan, your advice got me past the authorization error.
I'm a bit unclear on the specifics here, but you could perhaps create a user profile on the remote system with the required authority then do an ADDSVRAUTE for each of your local users and point them all to that same user on the remote system.
ADDSVRAUTE USRPRF(LOCALUSER) SERVER('RMT_SVR')
USRID('NEW_RMTPRF') PASSWORD('xxxxx')
Now I am getting the error stating that the SQL package was not created when I run the RPG program. All I got was a printout stating that, no other information.
