From a SBMJOB command source listing I was sent off-List (it was retrieved using Dave McKenzie's RTVCMDSRC), I know that this is precisely how SBMJOB itself rejects the forbidden users.

And I plugged it into my new variation on the startup command for our CRM product, set up the CL program to run under QSECOFR authority, and everything works perfectly.

Didn't even need to set up my own message, since CPD1617 is sufficiently general in wording that it works just fine.
