Does this person really need update/delete capability to the source directory?
IDK if exit point tools can be set up to do the same thing that may be done with authority. Or if you can get detailed with it. For example one can stop them from a delete, and send a message to their messaging software. The messaging software can say let them go ahead but if they do x in a certain time interval, shut them down. For example, if someone encrypts a file no big deal, but if they start encrypting multiple files then it's probably ransomware.
We use messaging software to automatically reenable someone for NetServer, but after 3 reenables give it up.
