Not a common view! Normal 24×80 display (or probably even 24×40!), split in half. Upper half for one operator, lower for the other. A bit like split-screen of the 3477 or newer terminals. But for independent operation thereof. And mirrors did the separation of top and bottom views to the respective operator's viewing openings.

Also, in that same manual you referred each "side" had it's own console address you set by dip switches.

Yap, just like the dual-session capability on a 34xx terminal needs two twinax addresses.
