You can issue DSPBNDDIR ... OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(lib/filename) and then you have a "table" that you can easily query with SQL.
You can even do this completely from within an SQL stored procedure, etc., e.g. by using the QCMDEXC SQL stored procedure to run that DSPBNDDIR command for you ... and then run your query.
