I'm not using RDI's SSH support ... I'm tunneling ALL connections from my workstation to a subset of hosts on the remote network.

I connect to the corporate network via VPN but, because of the network configuration, I can't establish connections to the IBM i's over the VPN.

To get around this, I create a ssh tunnel to remote hosts. I use the open source package sshuttle.

When I do this, I don't suffer disconnections in RDi or any other application.
