I see. Configuration in General should be easy. In the systems configuration, there are headings "General", "Connection", and "Console".

I *guess* you need to put the ASMI IP address into the Service-Hostname field. But I also remember that in SST, there was also a "service" adapter to be configured, but I honestly don't remember details.

Our E4A is configured as a LAN Console box, and because of the small size of our shop, we do not have the Console Ethernet plugged into a separate isolated network.

In general, I see no functional difference between a 1:1 connection of the console port, or it being part of a LAN. The most important point is IP connectivity. :-)
