I am trying to use the QNTC file system to copy a IFS file to a windows
server folder via QNTC.

I can get it to work manually by using the CPY command under my own
userid, so I know this works.

I then wrote a CL that I also know works when I run it under my userID. I
then asked the Network admin to set up a userid on our IBM i that has the
correct permissions to this QNTC folder, which he did. I then changed the
CL to run as *OWNER, not used Adopted Authority, and changed the Owner to
the userid the Admin set up. I get the error message above when trying to
use the same CL. The IBM documentation says the QNTC accesses Windows
based on the current userid.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have the QNTC shares accessed using
the CL object's Owner instead of the User running the job? I want to avoid
having the Admin give each user who sends files to this windows share
access to the share since it is used for archiving only.

Thank you,

Doug
