As another benefit the original view spans files from multiple libraries and causes grief when refreshing the data on the test system. When I turned this over to development they're hoping they can get rid of the original view and put all that cross library stuff in the table function and avoid all those dependencies when refreshing data, restores, etc.
I'm hoping that works too.
