I spent several hours earlier this week diagnosing and fixing a problem for a customer that still runs in S36EE on their Power 9 box at 7.3. I'm thinking that reading OCL is a lost art. I had trouble tracking down documentation for OCL at the IBM Knowledge Center. Google found it for me, but not IBM.

If IBM removes a feature like this it would likely happen at a version boundary - not at a point release.
But Larry is right, there are sadly far too many people using it for IBM to be able to drop it. I met a BIIG user a couple fo years ago that ran one whole app based on an S/36 vendor package from a vendor long out of business. Converting it would be a major cost as of course would be switching to an alternative app.

You'd have to show me where you saw that. This rumor has appeared now and then over various releases but there are A LOT of customer still using 36E so I doubt that it will happen this release either!

hello, a favor, I once read that the 7.4 operating system is the last one that will support the system/36 environment, but I did not know if it was true or not, and I cannot find a document that says so, can you help me in this please? Or any document that talks about it?
Thanks a lot.
