We are missing the PTF. I looked the the details and it does not have the
full command with the parms. It has the program names only.

What version of the OS are you running?
It should be there on 7.2 and up. You may need a ptf

I have a need to retrieve the command used in the submit job commands.
As
part of the day end process, we submit about 100 jobs. I want to see
the
commands that will be run by the job and copy the information into a
file.

Hello

try SELECT A.MESSAGE_TEXT FROM
TABLE(QSYS2.JOBLOG_INFO('jobnbr/jobuser/jobname')) A WHERE
A.MESSAGE_TYPE = 'REQUEST'

I did not investigate all of possible issues, but it looks like the job
must be active, in job queue or with a pending joblog (not in a spool
file) if complete for the SQL statement to succeed to find the joblog.
