I don't remember if I posted this already but within the last few months I migrated two lpars from a Power 8 to a Power 9.
Both lpars are guested IBM i from IBM i.
The Power 8 was a 8286-41A with 19B1 spinning disks
The Power 9 is a 9009-42A with 5B11 SSD's.
Both used the same VTL.
'GDI' lpar went from a full system BRMS save run time of 3 hours and 9 minutes to 1 hour and 58 minutes.
Sure would like to get a Power 10 scale out model (or two) in here so we could move the rest of the lpars. With rNext coming and it not working on P8's I hate to have to wait.
