Interesting. But rather bizarre, given that the web service is hosted on
Amazon AWS, supporting TLS 1.2 with TLS 1.1 as a fallback, the box
trying to access it is on V7R4, and we've got multiple V7R3 customer
boxes that are having no difficulty at all.
I can determine (and have determined) what the web service supports with
a simple SSLLabs scan. How would I check what their box can deal with,
calling a web service? (I vaguely recall doing something of that sort a
couple of years ago, but can't recall how.)
Also, is there a possibility that this could be caused by a firewall
blocking the box from accessing outside web services? I'm told that it's
a cloud LPAR, rather than an in-house box.
