You'll need to take the cover of the circuit breaker box.
Look at the box's main breaker: 2 non-white wires connected, you have 240V
single phase; 3 non-white wires connected, you have 3 phase. The white wire
is the neutral, it will be connected to a bar within the box to which other
white wires will be connected.

Subject: rack power 7+ how to tell if 3-phase power
Am a pgmr, not an electrician - moving system to different data center.
Existing center - no one remembers.
All i can see is the rack power connect to a metal boxes, big round plugs
(redundant power supply), with label "240V" on breaker. Other site asking if
3 phase or single phase. They don't want to pay for an electrician to come
onsite.
Is there any definitive clue in this description?
Jim
