Basically, it allows running a backup with BRMS on an LPAR using
FlashCopy target volumes in a way which can be used to send BRMS data
from the target to the source system, so that BRMS on the source system
thinks that it did the backup itself, and therefore is ready for any
restore and media management topic.

The tool is used to make the process as much automatic as possible. It
can run any required ASP quiesce, then initiate the FlashCopy, then
release the quiesce, then IPL the target system. It will take place of
QSTRUPPGM program so that all network lines, tapes and tapes libraries
are associated to the proper resources when the backup system is started
with the FlashCopy volumes. It can initiate all the backups, including a
system backup, and can send back QUSRBRM inventory to the source system,
and finally power down the target system.
It requires a third system, which is the controlling one for all this
process.
