OK.  Just to hopefully stick a fork in this issue.  In the new DCM, the
process is as follows:
Login to the new DCM.  Select "Open Certificate Store" and choose
"*System".  Under "Certificates" there should be a link to "Import".  On
the "Import Certificate" page choose certificate type of  "Server or
Client" (this is where I went wrong by choosing "CA Certificate")
Now, if you are like me an REUSE the CSR, make sure you check the
"Automatically Renewed Certificate" checkbox.  If you generated a new
CSR, leave the checkbox unchecked.  Select the location of the
certificate file in the IFS and then continue.  Mine imported right
away.  Worked like a champ with the new DCM.
Let me know if it doesn't work correctly for you.....

Good idea.
I was lucky to find that using the old DCM to import the cert worked (when
generating the CSR from the new DCM) because I thought shoot... if this
doesn't work I will probably have to buy a new cert... Not that it's a lot
of $$ but a hassle as well.
