That's the GETSSL utility. I actually did this for Office 365, but following IBM's documents for setting it up takes you to the same document whether you're setting up a connection to GMAIL, OFFICE365, or any other SSL-enabled service.

The trick was to specify the port to retrieve the certificates from rather than accepting the default or documented port. I don't recall the exact ports off-hand.

Has anyone successfully managed to get the SSL certificate from gmail using
the QMGTOOLS options: 7, 1,1? "Retrieve SSL Certificate"

I've tried multiple times and it just seems to not work. The customer will not
allow me to put Brad's tooling on to overcome this problem. (my hourly
charges have far exceeded the three year cost of those tools too....)
