From SQL, you can use the QCMDEXC stored procedure to run a command ... in this case, QShell 'grep ...' and ">" to pipe the output of grep into a temporary file in the IFS.Then, use the SQL IFS functions to scan the results of the grep ... that should be much easier than processing the "raw data" directly in SQL, IMHO.
As opposed to using "grep"?
