During backups last night we had our technician running cacti to measure the usage of the FC port.
A single system, running a backup with 4 drives running in parallel, was eating 6.7Gbps.
It wouldn't be hard at all to blow the doors off of that 8gb adapter by simply running multiple systems at the same time.
