Line speed to the remote site is really slow, here.

185Gb?
I can hardly get a 3.7GB transmission to take long enough to capture it
with NETSTAT
3730135040 bytes transferred in 8.581 seconds. Transfer rate
434694.250KB/sec.

Subject: Calculate remining time/bytes on a FTP transmission

Does anyone know how to calculate the remaining time/bytes on a file
transfer?

I am FTP'ing a 185Gb to a remote system and it has been copying for more
than 24 hours. I need to be able to estimate the remaining time of the
copy.

The only information I have is the size of the file and the I/O count when
I display the open files for the job.

Can I see somewhere how many bytes per minute are being copied?

TIA, Darryl Freinkel.
